A Soup to Ease Menstrual Pain and Nourish Blood and Qi

Nutrition from free-range chickens is exceptionally good, and chicken meat is incredibly delicious. It can be used to prepare various culinary delights in daily life. Today, we recommend a very tasty and nourishing chicken soup, known as "Durian Shell Chicken Soup," which is particularly suitable for women to enjoy during those days of their monthly menstruation. This soup can replenish blood and Qi, relieve pain, and soothe your mood.

As widely known, while durians have a strong odor, they are incredibly delicious to eat. Durian is not only highly nutritious, but it can also invigorate the body, promote blood circulation, nourish the kidneys, boost vitality, and even regulate abdominal warmth. So, despite its strong smell, many people love to eat durians. However, most people only consume the fruit pulp of the durian, throwing away the shell. I want to say that in the future, don't discard the shell, as it has its own merits. Durian shell is a valuable material to reduce internal heat. Therefore, when you use durian shell to cook chicken soup, it results in an extraordinarily flavorful dish. This soup can nourish blood, replenish Qi, and moisten the body.

Ingredients for Durian Shell Chicken Soup:

1 free-range chicken
Durian shell meat
Dried red dates
Goji berries
Spring onions
Fresh ginger
Salt
Instructions:

Clean the free-range chicken, removing any foreign matter, and chop it into pieces (for making soup, slightly larger pieces are preferable).
Wash and cut the spring onions into sections. Wash and slice the ginger.
In a pot, add an appropriate amount of water and bring it to a boil. Add the chicken pieces and a small amount of cooking wine to blanch the chicken. Remove the chicken and drain away excess water (this helps reduce the greasiness of the soup; you can adjust this based on personal taste).
Place the durian shell meat at the bottom of the soup pot, then add the chopped chicken pieces.
Pour in an appropriate amount of water and bring it to a boil. Add the spring onion sections and ginger slices.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 80 minutes. After that, add the red dates and goji berries, washed. Simmer for an additional 20 minutes (the exact time may vary depending on the tenderness of the chicken).
Finally, serve the soup in bowls, add a small amount of salt to taste, and it's ready to be enjoyed.
